Biography

David Webb has served public education since 1987, serving as a Chief Financial Officer since 1994, working for 10 years in La Porte ISD from 1994-2004 and as CFO of Deer Park ISD since March 2004. He has written two books on school finance, published in 2005 and 2008, respectively, that covered the history of Texas school finance, lawsuits and legislative activities impacting public edcuation from the early days in texas history to the near present. He frequently teaches classes on public funds investments and speaks often to various groups - Rotary, Chamber, Real Estate agents, tax collectors and university students.
He is retiring from public education on June 30, 2013 and going to work as First Vice President for George K. Baum and Company, a municipal finance firm.
