Kate Murzin is the Health Programs Specialist at the Canadian Working Group on HIV and Rehabilitation where her focus is on HIV and aging.  Her main objective is to build and nurture collaborative working relationships between the HIV, aging and/or chronic illness sectors leading to joint initiatives which improve the health and quality of life of people and communities aging with HIV. Kate was previously Group Programs Coordinator at the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) and played an integral role in developing, implementing and evaluating adult education initiatives as well as group programming for people living with HIV, including older adults. 

Kate has experience in health promotion program planning, health communications and policy advocacy. She is also a skilled group facilitator. Kate has a B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences and received her Masters of Public Health degree from the University of Toronto.

This presentation integrates video role-plays and examples of complex scenarios which highlight the multi-factoral experiences of those aging with HIV.
