FGV/EAESP was established in 1954 and was a pioneer in Business Administration teaching in Brazil.

Pioneer spirit, innovation and international excellence has marked the history of FGV/EAESP, not only in education of youth, that are taking the path of an executive career in public and private organizations in Brazil and abroad, but also for managers and executives that come here for refresher courses and to further develop their education. 

The development of state-of-the-art, innovative and relevant knowledge is also present in the school. Academic research published in the best journals in Brazil and abroad, and books contribute not only towards the development of science in the country but also towards the excellence of its graduate courses. Faculty and researchers of the best universities in the country are trained here in this institution.

Applied research and the dissemination of its results, mainly through study centers, make FGV/EAESP, as a part of the Getulio Vargas Foundation, an international think tank responsible for generating important knowledge for Brazilian society and for the world. The challenges in educating leadership in the 21st century and developing innovative projects and knowledge is present in all courses and activities at FGV/EAESP - so we would like to invite you to learn more about and become a part of our community.

Prof. Brito graduated in Engineering from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1976) and he holds a doctorate in Business Administration from FGV-EAESP (2005). 
He is currently a professor in the Department of Production and Operations Administration (POI) of FGV-EAESP. In ANPAD is part of the scientific committee of the GOL division and in the international program OneMBA, is leading professor of Global Operations Management, coordinating this course among the five business schools that are part of the program. Before acting in academic work he had long involvement with the private sector assuming leadership positions in Sanbra, Santista and Dixie Toga.

His main research interests are in the interface between operations and strategy. Most relevant issues are: business performance and its variability, operational factors affecting the performance, the concept of competitive advantage. He is also interested in the topic of supply chains and cooperation among its members.
