NACO incorporated as a non-profit in 2002 to promote and help create a vibrant Angel community in Canada by providing Angel investors with a secure environment to network and learn from their peers.

Since then, NACO has evolved to become the National champion of Canada’s Angel investing community, working with individuals, groups and industry partners by supporting best practices and professional development, informing policy in support of the early-stage funding ecosystem, and providing trusted intelligence on Canada’s Angel investing activity.

With more than 2,000 members across the country, we are building a strong and vibrant Angel community in Canada by making meaningful connections across borders, sectors and asset classes. Our members are a diverse group of individual investors, Angel groups and other industry partners that provide support to early-stage companies.

The National Angel Capital Organization

Melanie Murray has been in the Financial Services Industry for 17 years, 13 of which have been directly involved in Commercial Banking.  She joined RBC Royal Bank in 2012 as a Senior Account Manager for Commercial Financial Services and manages the lending needs of a portfolio of commercial clients specializing in the tech sector.  Melanie graduated with a degree in International Trade and over the years, has taken courses at Queensland University of Technology, Dalhousie University and Okanagan University College to further her career.  She has lived abroad, working for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in London, England, and for Wilson HTM in Brisbane, Australia; both institutional stock broking firms.
