Biography

Amy Nobile spent 13 years in public relations before (accidentally) venturing into writing books. After attending Albion College (in Michigan, where she's from), she moved to New York City and landed a job at Hill and... Knowlton, the world's largest PR firm, where she worked with clients including Visa, FedEx and Frito-Lay.

She then worked at Ketchum, for clients including Mattel, Patek Philippe, and Hallmark Cards. After getting engaged and moving to San Francisco with Paul, Amy joined the dot-com boom and was the PR Director for Webvan, the brainchild of Louis Borders.

After having her first child in 2002, Amy (and her friend Trisha, who had also had her first child) were completely side swiped by motherhood and could not fathom why other moms weren't talking about the deep dark truths -- so they went on a mission to find out what moms nationwide were thinking. After conducting hundreds of interviews, their research and insights became the topic of their first book, "I Was A Really Good Mom Before I Had Kids." Their second and third books quickly followed: "Dirty Little Secrets From Otherwise Perfect Moms," and "I'd Trade My Husband for a Housekeeper."

Amy and Trish hit a chord among moms nationwide, and have been featured on many television and radio shows including the Today Show (four times), Rachael Ray (three times), 20/20, CBS News, NPR and Oprah. Their books have been highlighted in People magazine, Shape, Redbook, Parenting, USA Today and many others. Their books have been published in several other countries as well.

Amy & Trish are currently working on their 4th book, and are now also producing a number of television shows based on their books.

They have spoken to various professional and mom-related groups around the country on topics including: "Mommy's Dirty Little Secrets," "What's My Next Chapter? Pitching Your Idea," "Learning to Love Motherhood As Much as You Love Your Kids," and "Who Is This Guy and Why Is He In My House? Re-inventing Your Marriage After the Baby Carriage."
